STATE AND LOCAL INCENTIVES APPROVED; AMAZON WILL INVEST $40 MILLION TO BUILD A NEW LOGISTICS HUB IN SHELBY TWP

The Michigan Strategic Fund board approved a $4.5-million performance-based grant to help pave the way for Amazon to invest $40 million in a new logistics optimization center in Shelby Township, Michigan. The one million square foot facility will be located on 85 acres in at the southeast corner of 23 Mile Road and Mound. Once fully operational, Amazon will create more than 1,000 new full-time jobs with generous benefits.
