SEMCOG, the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments, announces that Sunday, July 5 is an Ozone Action day in Southeast Michigan.
According to Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) meteorologists, we remain under a stagnant air mass. Light winds are forecast to switch to the southwest, keeping the stagnant air in place. The long-range forecast keeps the region in the same hot, humid air mass until the end of next week. Expect more Ozone Action days during that time.More
