This year MetroPCS stores throughout Michigan hosted a cell phone recycling program in April in honor of Earth Month.
Each time a consumer donated a working cell phone at a MetroPCS corporate location they received a free gift, a small recyclable tote bag and a seed card.
As a result of this green initiative, MetroPCS raised over $800 which was donated to The Children’s Center of Detroit. MetroPCS vice president and general manager for Michigan presented The Children’s Center with a check.
