Michigan Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth has been selected for two awards from the 32nd Annual Telly Awards, a national program recognizing outstanding achievement in the TV, commercial and video industry.
“It is really an honor to be recognized as one of the best among some outstanding cable TV commercials and programs, particularly since the Telly Awards attracts major corporations, ad agencies, and production studios from around the country. The fact that our cable shows live up to such a high standard of excellence is a real tribute to our Communications Group at DELEG,” said DELEG Director Steven H. Hilfinger.
The bronze awards are for the January 2010 episode of “The Job Show”, which discussed the rise in major film productions being completed in Michigan; and the April 2010 episode of “Michigan’s Energy Future Today”, which explored home energy retrofits and the latest in green building techniques.
This is the third Telly Award “The Job Show” has won and the second for “Michigan’s Energy Future Today”, which has been in production since April 2009.
Top production professionals judge more than 13,000 entries annually for this prestigious award. Judges are from throughout the country, representing large and small firms including advertising agencies, TV stations, production houses and corporate video departments.
“These awards reflect the high quality of work that is the standard for our production team and show hosts,” said DELEG Director of Communications Mario Morrow. “We strive to produce the best quality shows on behalf of our clients in state government, and most importantly to inform our target audience, the citizens of Michigan.”
The Telly Awards was founded in 1978, to honor excellence in local, regional and cable TV commercials. The competition was expanded several years ago to include film and video productions.
