SER Metro-Detroit, Jobs for Progress, Inc and the Regional Energy Efficiency Partnership Training Program (REEPTP) are hosting the Earth Day Employer Forum. This forum is designed to expose employers to the wealth of programs to provide incentives to hire qualified staff in the southeast Michigan region.
The Forum will feature Ms. Marcia Black-Watson, Deputy Director-Employer Services, Bureau of Workforce Transformation, Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth. Ms. Black-Watson will speak about programs that the state can offer to serve as an incentive to employers to hire additional staff. Gena Love will have details about the On-The-Job training funding program for dislocated workers. This forum will be held at the SER Metro-Detroit Complex at 5200 Stecker in Dearborn, Michigan on Friday April 22, 2011 from 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. This event is supported by DTE Energy, the Detroit Workforce Development Department, and the One Stop Service Centers.
