Soggy Weekend Did Not Stop Strutters

Despite an overcast Saturday and a downright soggy Sunday, dedicated strutters converged on Ford Field for the 6^th annual Mutt Strut & Pet Expo. On Saturday walk day, it was a thrill to see an almost nonstop steam of strutters walk through the paw-print balloon arch and take to the sidewalks of West Dearborn.

Even during the Sunday downpour we bravely attempted a mini expo under our registration tent, and applaud the stalwart volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and Chihuahua reunion-ers who huddled together.

Nearly 1,000 people & pups attended the event on Saturday
Over $41,000 in pledges was raised for the animals
To help green Mutt Strut and reduce our footprint on the environment, we: used biodegradable dog-waste bags; collected dog waste in special biodegradable recycle bins; did not print event signage; did not include paper fliers in attendee bags; attendee bags were re-usable backpacks made from recycled materials; eliminated pre-event mailings
