As the Green Communities Challenge begins its third year of existence, the staff of the Michigan Municipal League, Michigan Townships Association and Michigan Association of Counties would like to hear from you on the future of the initiative.
We are looking for volunteers to serve on an Advisory Committee that will help shape the future of the Challenge and related projects. Specific task of the Advisory Committee will include:
- Assist staff with revising the Challenge Progress Report, including criteria, scoring system and methods of distribution and completion.
- Plan the agenda for the second annual Michigan Green Communities Conference in the fall of 2011.
- Provide feedback on program administration, goals and next steps.
Participants in the Committee should be willing to join conference calls and/or in person meetings at lease once a month beginning late June through late October. Committee members will also be asked to review documents. This Committee is envisioned as an informal entity. Participants can leave the Committee at any time.
