Something new and eco-friendly is coming to the festival this year! A “Go Green” initiative will be held all three days of this year’s Downtown Farmington Founders Festival July 15th-17th.
It will be located behind the Masonic Temple in Memorial Park. This is a great avenue to recognize our limited resources and reduce our ecological footprints. The “Go Green” area will provide events that serve as an educational component where people can have fun while learning. This event will not only teach how an impact can be made individually, but as a community as well.
We are looking for interested individuals to bring their eco-friendly ideas, projects, art creations, and games to this new event. Anything from recyclable crafts to fun kids’ activities are welcome. Bring in your educational and environmental knowledge to share with the rest of the community or demonstrate a meal recipe that can help people “go green” to better health and wellness. There is a wide range of ways to illustrate your way of going green.
Be sure to visit our website for commercial vendor and crafter applications. If you are interested, please email festival@DowntownFarmington.org. Space is limited so get in early to be a part of this fresh and interactive event! To learn more about additional activities at the Founders Festival, go to www.FoundersFestival.com.
