It was hot and stayed hot for last weekend’s inaugural Criterium Detroit City, a day long series of competitive bicycle races that included participants of all age groups and stretched across an urban course that began and ended at the Boll Family YMCA.
Hundreds of people lined the downtown course, many standing along key destination points like Detroit Brewing Company, Small Plates and Bert’s on Broadway. Competitive racers of all ages zipped around city streets from Saturday morning until late afternoon.
