The City of Auburn Hills, a dynamic community committed to innovation and growth, is welcoming in the change of season with an event that brings the best fall activities together in one celebration. Featuring food, music and plenty of outdoor fun for the whole family, the ‘Fall Festival in the Woods’ will take place on Saturday, October 15, from 11am through 3pm at the E. Dale Fisk Hawk Woods Nature Center in Auburn Hills.
According to Auburn Hills Recreation Director Brian Marzolf, the ‘Fall Festival in the Woods’ is all about enjoying what our beautiful fall season in Michigan has to offer.
“This is such a great time of year for people to get out and enjoy the crisp weather, vibrant colors and harvest flavors at our Fall Festival. Last year, more than 850 people came to the celebration and discovered the Hawk Woods Nature Center’s unique facilities and endless opportunities for outdoor recreation,” Marzolf says.
In addition to hands-on nature activities and educational stations, the ‘Fall Festival in the Woods’ will present hay rides, a petting farm, a treasure hunt, live music by Michigan’s own Blue Water Ramblers, and free cider and donuts. Pumpkin carving will also be available. Pumpkins may be purchased for $4 -$12 each on a first-come first-served basis.
The E. Dale Fisk Hawk Woods Nature Center is located at 3799 Bald Mountain Road and offers year-round opportunities for outdoor recreational activities. Hiking on the trails, camping and educational classes await fall outdoor enthusiasts.
