The Rochester School District is teaming up with 5R Processors, Ltd. to help Rochester and the surrounding communities properly dispose of their household electronics equipment at no cost.
5R Processors will be set up in the Rochester High School parking lot at 180 S. Livernois Road, in Rochester on Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. where they will be accepting any old or obsolete electronics equipment.
This is a fundraiser event and 5R Processors will donate $50.00 tothe school for every 5,000 pounds of electronics recycled. The event is open to the public and small businesses.
5R will be accepting most consumer electronics and home office equipment including computers, monitors, laptops, printers, TVs, stereo equipment, cell phones, microwaves, large household appliances and more. Freon containing appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, , and dehumidifiers will be accepted for a fee of $25.00
Department of Defence approved hard drive cleansing will also be available for just $10.00
