Come early for press event at 5pm.
Much is happening in our SW Detroit Border Community and we continue to advocate for community protections– Hear from Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Brian Masse of the Canadian Parliament, the Community Benefits Coalition, Congress of Communities, and more:
- Today Pier 19 began to come down–bringing us one step closer to getting trucks off of neighborhood streets.
- Delays on a bridge decision are hurting our community–with increasing arson and dumping, residents are feeling less safe.
- We are continuing to fight to save Southwestern High and Maybury Schools–Hear updates and see a new video about SWHS
- All decision-makers and proponents of a new bridge share the responsibility to make sure our community is protected and fairly treated. We are continuing dialogue with Governor Snyder. Statements to be shared.
