This bill would eliminate two exemptions for the oil and gas industry under the Clean Air Act by listing hydrogen sulfide as a hazardous air pollutant and requiring the industry to add emission control technology to wells.
In addition to this bill, there have been several bills introduced that would regulate hydraulic fracturing. These bills would ensure that any chemicals used in this drilling process are closely monitored and kept out of our drinking water supply. As these bills come before me in the Senate for a vote, I will keep your concerns in mind.
Please continue to keep me informed about issues of concern to you and your family.
