The Nonpoint Source Program is requesting proposals for FY13 funding to develop or implement watershed management plans to restore impaired waters and protect high quality waters. Approximately $4 million should be available to selected projects by mid-2013.
The Request for Proposals identifies targeted watersheds and associated priority actions. Once again this year the Nonpoint Source Program is encouraging projects that utilize Low Impact Development and Green Infrastructure to address water quality and quantity issues.
Details on eligibility, priorities, required local match, and all necessary forms and instructions for applicants are available on the Nonpoint Source Program homepage: www.michigan.gov/nps in the Grant Applicant Information section.
The NPS Program is hosting a webinar on August 8, 2012 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. The objective of this webinar is to talk to stakeholders about our RFP priorities, review the RFP schedule, discuss the list of targeted water bodies, review the process for completing NOI, and answer any questions about the RFP.
