Limor Nakar-Vincent, the Director of U.S. Business Development & BIRD Energy for the BIRD Foundation will speak at a Michigan Israel Business Bridge networking event on Thursday, September 6, 2012. The program is being held at the MIBB offices, 6735 Telegraph Rd, Rm. F, in Bloomfield Hills from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
Founded in 1977, The US-Israel Bi-national Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Foundation supports joint (Israeli-American) development projects in the various areas of technology without receiving any rights in the participating companies or in the project itself. The Foundation provides support of up to 50% of a project’s budget, beginning with R&D and ending with the initial stages of sales and marketing. The Foundation shares the risk and does not demand that the investment be repaid if the project fails to reach the sales stage.
There will be a Case Study presented by MIBB Board Member, Steve LeBeau, on the 2009 nanoMag -Dead Sea Magnesium Bird Foundation Funding.
Yariv Becher, Consul for the Economic Affairs for The Gov’t of Israel Economic Mission to the Midwest will be attending the event and speak on the successful business development ongoing between Michigan and Israel.
