The Wayne County Department of Public Health will hold a flu shot clinic on Wednesday, October 10, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Westland Friendship Center, 1119 N. Newburgh Road.
Flu shots will be administered from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., and are by appointment only. Walk-ins will be accepted from 1 to 2 p.m.
Adult flu shots are priced at $15. Medicaid and Medicare Part B accepted. There will also be flu shots for children for $10, or those eligible will be covered by the Vaccine for Children program.
Annual vaccination to protect against influenza is recommended for individuals, six months of age and over. The flu season generally begins in November lasts through April.
Appointments are recommended for all clinic attendees.
