Medical practitioners have long identified stress as a root cause of many of our modern ailments, from high blood pressure and gastrointestinal problems to anxiety and depression.
Isha Foundation, a global non-profit public service organization dedicated to human wellbeing, will conduct “Meditation and Health Awareness Week” from September 7 – 14th, 2012 in Michigan and around the nation as part of its global efforts to share health benefits of meditation.
During MHA week, Isha offers:
- Free sessions all over the nation, in which participants learn a simple and powerful meditation called Isha Kriya which has the potential to help create a stress-free life for anyone who gives it a few minutes a day;
- Special discount for medical professionals, patients and participants of MHA week, registering for the Inner Engineering program with Sadhguru at the Cobo Center in Detroit (Oct 12 – 14);
- Tips for healthy living, which can be easily incorporated into daily life.
The Meditation and Health Awareness week was created to aid not only patients suffering physical conditions related to stress, but medical professionals themselves who also experience significantly elevated levels of stress and burnout.
