On Saturday October 27, tour TechShop, metro Detroit’s premiere maker space, eat dinner, shop 4 auctions, enjoy Dragonmead beer, watch your name being cut for permanent display on the Arts & Scraps vehicle, enter a costume contest to win $250 and dance to music with a DJ.

TechShop, 800 Republic Drive in Allen Park, is 33,000 sq. ft. and over 100 machines of D.I.Y. possibilities. You can design, build, cut, sew, weld and mold almost any substance. There are classes and the staff can teach any level of experience.
Arts & Scraps is a Detroit nonprofit, serving 275,000 children in SE Michigan; mixing student ideas, school curriculum, 10,000 volunteer hours and 28 tons of recycled materials from 180 businesses. The result is problem solving, hands on learning and fun. There is a store affordable to all on Detroit’s east side.
