Chartreuse, the monthly pop-up dining event specializing in stylish raw, vegan cuisine at various Detroit locations, will host a fundraiser for Detroit SOUP and the historic Jam Handy building, to which Detroit SOUP has recently relocated, on Sunday, Nov. 18. Detroit SOUP is a microlending organization that helps fund creative projects in Detroit.
Taking place at 7 pm at the Jam Handy, 2900 E. Grand River in Detroit, the four-course raw, vegan, gluten-free gourmet menu will be prepared by Chartreuse Chef Corinne Rice and features raddichio carpaccio with dill oil, white pepper kale chips and creme fraiche; spinach and mushroom caesar with shaved fennel and black sesame-garlic tuile; hijiki pasta with truffle cream and marinated leeks; and a pumpkin-spiced custard napoleon with macadamia pastry, orange-Hunza raisin chutney and sage-rooibos syrup. The event is BYOB; wine glasses and filtered water will be provided.
The dinner will be complimented by live music from pianist Daniel Meinecke and drawings by a local sketch artist, with prints available for sale and proceeds benefiting the event.
