The Joberts 5/6 students at Birmingham Covington School received top honors at the Microsoft Partners in Learning Global Forum event in Prague this month for their project Doing Business in Birmingham.
The project, which set about teaching local businesses about sustainable practices, placed first in the Collaboration category after competing against an original pool of 200,000 participants from 115 countries around the world.
The students would like to invite you to join them in a celebration on Monday December 17 from 6-7:30pm in the BCS media center. Local businesses will be available to share how they are employing sustainable practices. The purpose of this event is to recognize the students and their hard work and the businesses that made this project possible. It will also provide an opportunity for the teachers who attended the event to share the deep learning that took place at the Global Forum and how it will impact teaching and learning at BCS . The BCS team is so proud of their students and their ongoing accomplishments and recognizes the ongoing support of their parents and families.
