Interested in taking the first step towards reducing your facility’s energy use by 20–40%? Apply for a no-cost energy assessment through Rebuild Michigan.
For the fifth year, Clean Energy Coalition has been selected as a Regional Technical Assistance Provider for Rebuild Michigan. In 2013, we’ll be providing five commercial energy assessments at no cost, giving property owners valuable insight into the condition of their facilities and providing them with a roadmap for improvements to lower energy use. Eligible commercial buildings include retail spaces, offices, restaurants, medical facilities, schools, churches, and more.
Building improvements are long-term investments that can yield significant savings on energy bills, but many building owners are sitting on the sidelines because they don’t know how to begin. That’s where we come in.
In previous years through Rebuild Michigan, we’ve helped clients like City Mission, Services to Enhance Potential, and the City of Westland reduce energy use by 20–40%. Facilities selected for no-cost energy assessments receive:
- Utility bill analysis
- ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager setup
- List of operational and maintenance improvements
- Recommendations for energy efficiency upgrades
- Financing information on grants, low-interest loans, and performance contracting
- Project planning assistance
Rebuild Michigan’s 2013 application period is now open and will continue until the five commercial facilities have been selected. Applicants must own commercial facilities totaling at least 25,000 square feet and be located within the southeast Michigan counties illustrated below. (Not within this area? Visit the statewide Rebuild Michigan website for contact information for your appropriate Regional Technical Assistance Provider.) To submit your organization for consideration, complete the online application form.
Rebuild Michigan is offered statewide in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Energy, Michigan Energy Office, and regional partners like Clean Energy Coalition.
