3. Rosedale Recycles loves LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE: come out March 23rd!
In an effort to reduce litter and illegal dumping in the community, the Grandmont Rosedale Beautification Task Force is launching an anti-litter campaign called “Love Where You Live”(LWYL) on March 23, Detroit Partnership (DP) Day. Join the LAUNCH: Join GRDC and RR Saturday, March 23 in a massive, volunteer-driven first annual “Grand River Clean Sweep.” Neighbors and businesses will unite to sweep, weed, scrub, pick up trash, and just generally make the whole street clean (AND SEPARATE RECYCLING AS WE GO!). To sign up to volunteer, call 313-387-4732, ext. 116 or email:cneblett@grandmontrosedale.com. Volunteers meet at GRDC at 9:30 AM to receive clean-up instructions & supplies. SIGN THE PLEDGE: Sign a pledge card (promise to be litter-free), at the info booth during Launch Day on March 23 at the Grand Land parking lot from Noon to 2 pm. In exchange for your pledge to keep Grandmont Rosedale clean, you will receive a LWYL gift (while supplies last). Pledge cards will be available at the GRDC office (19800 Grand River), starting March 25.
4. Continuing through March 31, support a local school by dropping off outdated phone directories, to the phone book recycling container inside the school, or take to 1331 Holden Mon/Wed/Sat, and tell RecycleHere which school you want to which you want to credit your recycling!
5. North Rosedale Parade June 8th: Zero Waste Detroit, along with Rosedale Recycles, will have a “float” on recycling. We are looking for creative and energetic ideas, so don’t’ be shy—enter your idea to RR@igc.org by April 20th.
