Automation Alley, Michigan’s largest technology business association, is partnering with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Oakland County and Oakland County Michigan Works! to host OakTech Connect, Jan. 26-29, an expense-paid, invitation-only hiring event for experienced, highly skilled IT professionals.
Selected applicants will have the opportunity to tour Oakland County, learn about the area’s vibrant tech scene and meet with real estate agents and participating IT employers to discuss active job opportunities. The event will also allow participants to network with other top technology talent from around the country.
“At Automation Alley, we believe that attracting top tech talent to our region is vital to our economic prosperity. We are excited to collaborate with our area economic development partners to provide this cool OakTech Connect opportunity to IT professionals from around the country,” said Automation Alley Director of Talent Development Alysia Green. “We hope this event will entice IT professionals living outside of the region to come back to Oakland County to work. Those selected for OakTech Connect will receive paid travel expenses. A partner is welcome, but must cover his or her own expenses. The event will include:
• Ticket and limousine transportation to the North American International Auto Show
• Key meetings with IT employers and local partners
• Networking opportunities
• Employer presentations and site tours
• City tours and dinners
• Customized real estate tours
