Sharon Blumeno, business development executive at Automation Alley, Michigan’s largest technology business association, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Transportation Club of Detroit.
The Transportation Club of Detroit is a nonprofit organization that promotes and encourages the highest standards of education and technical competency among members of the transportation industry. Board members support and advocate for the organization through volunteerism.
“We asked Sharon to serve on our board because of her extensive network of personal contacts in the transportation industry and her desire to serve the community. In addition, her business development experience is sure to be a great asset to our organization,” said David Pierce, president of the Transportation Club of Detroit.
Having spent more than 20 years as a sales professional, Blumeno is an expert business networker. Her primary role at Automation Alley is to recruit and welcome new members to the association from across Southeast Michigan’s eight-county region. Today, Automation Alley is nearly 1,000 member organizations strong.
“I strongly believe that organizations succeed when they work together, and I see this collaboration every day between Automation Alley members. In my own professional career, I aspire to form strong relationships,” Blumeno said. “I’m honored and excited to join the Transportation Club of Detroit’s board of directors, and I look forward to helping the organization reach its goals and form new connections within the transportation industry.”
