Applicants for an initial Individual Residential Builder or initial Builder Salesperson license now have the option to apply online and pay by credit card. They may access the online system at www.michigan.gov/mylicense. The two new license types were added to the MyLicense online application system by the Licensing Division in the Corporations, Securities and Commercial Licensing Bureau in the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
Applicants who prefer to apply by paper, those applying for a license type not yet in the online system, licensees applying for relicensure or reinstatement, or those qualified applicants requesting a Veteran Fee Waiver, may download an application from the www.michigan.gov/builders site, by clicking on “Forms and Publications” on the right hand side.
