Join Automation Alley, Michigan’s largest technology business association, for a discussion that will explore the opportunities and challenges of doing business in Saudi Arabia and the U.A.E. — the Middle East’s two most promising markets for U.S. exports — Sept. 19 from 8-11:30 a.m. at Automation Alley Headquarters in Troy.
The event will include case studies and information on industry sectors with a high demand for Michigan-made products, services and technologies. Learn from the experts about market entry strategies and how to identify reputable business partners. The event is a precursor to Automation Alley’s trade mission to Saudi Arabia and the U.A.E., taking place Dec. 5-12, but is open to the general business community in addition to potential trade mission participants.
“If you’re a local business owner and you’ve ever considered expanding your business to the Middle East, you won’t want to miss this event,” said Noel Nevshehir, Automation Alley’s director international business services. “In the U.A.E., the city of Dubai is the financial center of the Middle East and serves as a springboard for companies interested in further expanding into the region and beyond. In addition, Saudi Arabia is Michigan’s largest export market in the Middle East.”
The event will begin with registration, networking and continental breakfast at 8 a.m., followed by the program at 8:30 a.m. The floor will open for a discussion and a brief Q-and-A period at 11:15 a.m.
The cost to attend is $10 for members with pre-registration or $20 at the door. The cost for non-members is $20 with pre-registration or $30 at the door. Pre-registration closes Sept. 17 at close of business. To register, visit automationalley.com.
