The Detroit RiverFront Conservancy invites you to meet Mark Wallace, our new President and CEO, and enjoy some “Hot Havana Nights” at Shimmer on the River September 18.
Mark is no stranger to the Detroit riverfront. Early on in his career, he spent time working with the Conservancy on the riverfront revitalization project. Two of the projects he worked on are among the most popular destinations along the riverfront: the lovely Cullen Family Carousel at Rivard Plaza and the brick labyrinth at Gabriel Richard Park. The entire Conservancy team is excited to welcome Mark back!
We’re equally excited to welcome guests to our fifth annual Shimmer on the River fundraising gala. Guests will enjoy an evening of “Hot Havana Nights” with delectable food, hand-rolled cigars, salsa dancing and lively entertainment, all while taking in breathtaking vistas of the Detroit River on the brand new open-air terrace at Cobo Center. The evening’s festivities will also honor General Motors with the “2014 Shimmer Award” for its ongoing support of the revitalization of the Detroit riverfront.
Please join us for this very special and unique event.
