As you may have learned via early news reports, The Kresge Foundation Detroit Program is now accepting applications for a new multiyear initiative to support Detroit-based nonprofits in their efforts strengthen neighborhoods across the city.
The Kresge Innovation Projects: Detroit responds to community objectives – expressed through the Detroit Future City planning process. This initiative continues Kresge’s five-year commitment to align its investments within the City of Detroit with the Detroit Future City Strategic Framework.
We would like to ask for your help in spreading word about this grant opportunity to Detroit-based nonprofits that may be interested in applying.
Implementation grants of $50,000 to $150,000 will be available for “shovel-ready” projects that can begin in early 2015. At least one of these implementation grants is expected to be made in each of the city’s seven Detroit City Council districts.
Planning grants of up to $25,000 will be available for the development of project concepts and proposal documents for the second round of implementation grants, anticipated in fall 2015. Planning grants will be made on a competitive city-wide basis.
There’s additional information on kresge.org.
The deadline for receiving proposals is Dec. 2.
We look forward to discussing any questions you may have about this new initiative.
Thank you
