Henry Ford College (HFC) will host “Imagine the Possibilities: Non-Traditional Health Careers for Men” on Wednesday, April 22, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event takes place in the Hackett Conference Room in the Health Sciences Education Center (Building G), which is located on the main campus.
HFC’s Student Outreach and Support (SOS) Office coordinates this annual event, which is supported through the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act (Perkins Act) funding.
“The Perkins Act provides funding to support gender participation and completion in nontraditional programs of study that prepare individuals for under-represented occupations,” said HFC Counselor Diane Green, who coordinates this event.

7:30 a.m.: Registration and Continental Breakfast;

10 a.m.: Nursing: Susan Shunkwiler;
10:30 a.m.:Nursing Student: TBA;
11 a.m.: Surgical Technology: Keambra Overall;
11:30 a.m.:Ophthalmic Technician: Kathy Campbell; Ophthalmic Technician Student: Rahul Modi;
12 p.m.: Pharmacy Technology: Theresa Mozug; Pharmacy Technology Student: TBA;
12:30 p.m.:HFC Career Services Officer: Chad Austin; and
1 p.m.: Lunch and Prizes.
