Last week, the United States took historic action on climate change by announcing the Clean Power Plan to cut carbon pollution. And as we speak, decisions are being made right here in Michigan about how our state will respond to the Clean Power Plan.
Right now, Governor Snyder is on the fence.Whether he decides to support or oppose this effort to clean up our air and water depends in part on the response from Michiganders like you!
Recent research by Yale University found that two-thirds of Michiganders support setting strict limits on carbon pollution from power plants. As you can see on the map, a majority of people in every county in our state want to see these limits put in place.
But opinion polls mean nothing without the support of real-life people like you.
The success of the Clean Power Plan depends now on states like Michigan. We need strong leadership to support cleaner air and water, from you and from Governor Snyder. This is your opportunity to take action.
Will you tell Governor Snyder that you support the Clean Power Plan to limit carbon pollution? >>
