Controller Technologies Corporation of Rochester Michigan is using the latest of technologies to control their supply of energy! CTC has recently completed the installation of a 300 solar panel array on the roof of their 750 Letica facility. According to Mark Hagerty, President of Michigan Solar Solutions, “This system will supply over 86,000kWh a year during the time of day the power is the most expensive and the power grid needs it the most. With more systems like this our grid will be strengthened and will be able to handle many more homes and businesses, just by reducing the peak demand”!
Controller Technologies Corp. is a software and hardware developer specializing in automotive diagnostics, equipment and vehicle software update technologies. Daniel Marus, founder and CEO of CTC, remarked, “We are always looking for ways to invest in our future and reduce our overhead so that we can be more competitive in the market. Solar Technology has come down in price so that it now makes sense in many situations. We must all work to reduce our use of the planet’s limited resources. ”
Depending on the inflation rate of electricity the solar array could have its investment returned in as little as seven years. Even if it is ten years Controller Technologies will have fifteen years of warranty left on their system and approximately twenty-five more years of life expectancy.
We need more socially conscience corporate citizens, like Controller Technologies Corporation, who are willing to invest in the future, not only for themselves but also for the community to which they reside.
