We are hosting a retirement party to honor Peg Upmeyer, the co-founder of Arts & Scraps! We are celebrating Peg and her dedication to Arts & Scraps for over 29 years as well her support of the children, families and communities in Detroit. It was Peg’s vision, through reimagining materials, for all those young and young at heart to be able to think, create and learn. We are having this celebratory gathering to say thank you to Peg for all that she has done and accomplished. Peg is indeed a one-person wonder.
You are cordially invited to attend Peg Upmeyer’s Retirement Party on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum located on Belle Isle. Parking is included. We will have a silent auction, a dessert auction (you are invited to bring a dessert for the auction), a 50/50 raffle and a brief program honoring and highlighting Peg and her history with Arts & Scraps in addition to dinner.
If you are unable to attend, you are encouraged to make a donation. You may also buy a ticket and make a separate donation. Each ticket includes a contribution to the Mrs. Up Legacy Fund, named in honor of Peg as the students affectionately referred to her as “Mrs. Up.” Your support is truly appreciated and all donations will be matched.
We have three levels of sponsorship Gold, Silver and Bronze. You have the option of reserving a table to be seated with friends and colleagues.
Tickets for the event will go quickly (as we have a maximum of 110) so you want to get yours today. Tickets and sponsorships are available on Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/peg-upmeyer-retirement-party-tickets-30251061740
