As you’ve probably heard, John, M-1 Rail will be opening the QLINE to the public on May 12. It’ll be the first streetcar in Detroit in 60 years!
Because it’s so new, lots of people will need help learning how to ride it and to stay safe around it. So M-1 is looking for volunteers to help!
A whole weekend of festivities are planned throughout the downtown and midtown areas May 12-14.
QLINE volunteers will engage with the public, greeting visitors and instructing riders on how to use the station kiosks – along with smiling and being friendly. Must be at least 16 and able to stand for long periods.
If this sounds like a job for you, please complete the volunteer application online by April 3.
Send questions to volunteer@m1rail.org.
And remember to keep your eyes and ears open for the streetcar test runs as you travel along the Woodward corridor. Please SHARE the testing safety video with your friends and beyond.
Thanks,
Megan
