Detroit, Michigan — March 29, 2017 — Cafagna Arts and Entertainment is pleased to announce an evening where everything old is new again as the infamous Roaring Twenties come back to life May 13, 2017. We will host an amazing evening for music lovers celebrating the 70th birthday of our Director, Bob Cafagna. The festivities will be held at PJ’s Lager House, 1254 Michigan Avenue, Detroit, MI 48226. Admission is $25. Guests dressed in the period get a $10 discount at the door.
Beginning at 8 pm guests will enjoy Caleb Merritt (vocalist and ’20s aficionado) as he spins 78 rpm recordings from the collection of Detroit Entertainment Commission Director Gregory Reed. His rare and classic recordings were recently featured in a museum exhibit in Chicago. Surprise dance performances will appear throughout the night choreographed by Detroit Lindy Workshop and American Lindy Hop Championships Director, Paulette Brockington. Learn the Peabody and the Charleston!!! What’s that?? Findout!!!
