State leaders recently shared Michigan’s draft Domestic Action Plan for Lake Erie—a targeted approach for improving water quality and helping to prevent algal blooms, making it safer for people and aquatic life.
The draft plan will be available for public review and comment through Friday, July 14, at www.michigan.gov/deqgreatlakes. This conference will draw up to 1,000 engineers, landscape architects, water quality professionals, government officials (local, state, provincial, and federal), developers, planners, academia, drain and road agencies, conservation and non-profit organizations, and interest groups from around the Great Lakes basin in Canada and the U.S.
