The people at Eckert’s strive to deliver the best products and services to their customers while also keeping up with the current trends and plant introductions. But that’s not all – Eckert’s also incorporates eco-friendly practices into their business routine.

In one year alone, 90 percent of the company’s products were planted in recyclable biodegradable containers, which were made out of recycled paper and cardboard.
In addition, Eckert’s improves its carbon footprint with beneficial bugs, recycling and electric carts. Retail beneficial includes all natural anti-drought plant treatments, environmentally-friendly fungicide and organic fungicide for lawns and gardens.
The company also organizes field trips for schools wanting to spend Earth Day or Arbor Day at a place where the students can learn about being green. Annually, Eckert’s hosts a free field trip to teach kids how to reduce, reuse and recycle.
The educational program at Eckert’s includes a tour of the greenhouse, green games, learning about how seeds become plants, hands-on planting, an earth-friendly snack and a seedling tree for the students’ classroom.
