At the end of February, Oakland University sent out an invitation to approximately 700 key governmental officials, business leaders, media sources and community leaders regarding our upcoming launch of the Clean Energy Research Center to be held at the Rochester Hills-OU INCubator on March 31st at 11:00 am.
The OU School of Engineering & Computer Science, the RH-OU INCubator, the City of Rochester Hills, the US Department of Energy, Michigan Department of Energy Labor & Economic Growth, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation andOakland County will be prominently represented at this press event. We also are interested in extending invitations to key area companies with products and services focused on clean and alternative energy if they might wish to attend, exhibit, or display information about their company at our March 31st program.
Oakland University has engaged a well regarded local events management company that has demonstrated experience in “green” programs to assist us with sourcing and supporting exhibitors for this upcoming March 31st press launch program to be held in the 20,000 square foot Shotwell-Gustafson Pavilion on the East side of the OU campus. Mr. John Batdorf is the President of MI Green Team, Inc. and his company will be coordinating approximately 30-35 exhibitors interested in clean and alternative energy with displays for our morning program. The MI Green Team, Inc. will provide a registration site for interested exhibitors, coordinate display spaces and work with area companies and governmental units interested in bringing their promotional materials and products to this event.
Karen Cuthbertson at MI Green Team will be coordinating with Mr. John Batdorf their President regarding solicitations of companies and governmental agencies focused on clean and alternative energy who are interested in becoming exhibitors for our upcoming Clean Energy Research Center PR launch event. You should be aware that the MI Green Team, Inc. will be charging a minimal $100 registration and exhibitor management fee to the companies and governmental units participating in the event to help off-set some costs associated with organizing and managing this portion of the program.
The event will open the doors for attendees at 10:00 am for early dialog with exhibitors. The press conference will begin promptly at 11:00 am. Immediately following the press conference, Oakland University will provide a light food and beverage reception and encourage participants to remain with us to tour the displays and exhibits in the Shotwell-Gustafson Pavilion.
