We are pleased to announce that grant applications are officially being accepted for a $150,000 Energy Savings Program now available to St. Clair County businesses. St. Clair County has partnered with the EDA to provide funds for energy savings improvements and enhancements to St. Clair County businesses and facilities through a $150,000, 50/50 match program.
Examples of projects that could be funded include:
- Replacement of HVAC systems, lighting upgrades
- Alternative energy improvements/upgrades
- Energy Star rated products
- Labor/installation of energy savings equipment
- Down payment assistance toward larger energy savings projects that may require a loan
- All program dollars will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis through April, 0212, or until all dollars allocated are spent
News of the Energy Grant Program was first mentioned in EDA’s April newsletter, but details and program criteria were still being solidified at that time.
“This is a great opportunity for any business in St. Clair County to do an upgrade to their facility or business and best of all it is open to all for profit businesses within St. Clair County,” said Small Business Concierge, Scott Beedon.
