Want to showcase your talent? Like to compete? Want to win $1,000? Here’s your chance to do all three and more. Young Detroit Builders is currently looking for talent for the 8th annual Showdown in Motown talent competition.
We are seeking singers, musicians, dancers, poets and entertainers across the board that are ready to show their stuff. Showdown in Motown gives the artists a chance to compete for grand prizes ranging from $100 to $1,000.
We are seeking an array of talent; so if you’re into pop, rock, rap or gospel this event is for you! The Showdown in Motown will take place Friday, September 23, 2011, 7pm at Detroit’s Majestic Theatre. The Showdown, which will feature local celebrity judges and Detroit’s up-and-coming artists, also serves as Young Detroit Builders/YouthBuild Detroit‘s flagship fundraiser.
Young Detroit Builders is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit charitable organization in its 16th year providing services to help youth transform their lives while rebuilding their communities. Your support of the Showdown in Motowngoes directly to helping disadvantaged young adults pass the GED exam, develop leadership and employability skills and receive on-the-job construction training while doing community service.
