An enthusiastic group came out to meet, greet and network with other chamber members at the SPRING OCN MIXER held at Hilton Garden Inn in Southfield. There was plenty of business card exchanges, enthusiastic conversations, good food, drink and music available for all attendees to enjoy. The event was sponsored by the following chambers: Asian Pacific American, Chaldean American, Southfield, Greater Farmington and West Bloomfield. Special thanks go out to Sponsoring companies: Vibe Credit Union, Hantz Bank and CruiseOne.
OCN AS A CATALYST FOR INCREASED BUSINESS FOR ITS MEMBERS
Oakland County Chamber Network (OCN) is the umbrella organization for most of the local chambers of commerce in Oakland County, considered one of the wealthies counties in the country with over 1 million people. Their sole mission is to support their local member chambers and those who are members of any chamber within the county. With a better business environment in the air, optimism of attendees at the event on June 25th was palpable and is a dramatic shift in energy from just 2 years ago.
Many were struck by the larger number of attendees at the networking event and the variety of businesses looking to increase their own business growth. To name just a few, Comcast was there touting its upgraded business packages, Hantz Group’s booth was looking for new banking clients and CruiseOne had attendees dreaming of their next cruise once they closed their big deal. Mingling in the crowd were business schools interested in providing attendees additional education, WJR sales staff with radio advertising time to sell and even a personal sylist that will come to your home with clothes and make you look like a million bucks.
For those chocoholics, a special shout out to Shokalod who brought sample sizes of many of their wonderful chocolates and special gift ideas.
Those attendees with a desire to conduct serious networking should have come away from the event with dozens of new names and business cards. Other attendees on location for food, fun and frolic also had a great event in which to hang out and enjoy. Simply stated, a wonderful event that appeared to send attendees home with a smile on their face.
