Automation Alley, Michigan’s largest technology business association, is partnering with Plante Moran to sponsor a four-part business breakfast series titled “Toast + Tech Talk.” The first session, “Business Basics for Growing Firms – What You Need to Know to Succeed,” will be held at Plante Moran’s Detroit office on July 29, from 7:30 to 10 a.m.
This first session will feature a panel discussion with industry experts from Plante Moran and Honigman, focusing on accounting and legal topics relevant to startups and growing technology companies. There will be one session a month from July through October, and each will feature a strolling breakfast, networking and panel presentation from various industry experts.
“We are excited to partner with Plante Moran to help support the expansion of entrepreneurship and to foster the acceleration of innovation in our region,” said Automation Alley Executive Director Ken Rogers. “If you’re a local leader of a startup or growing technology firm, this session will provide the tips and resources necessary to help you develop and grow your business.”
“Growing technology companies are usually led by entrepreneurs who have an abundance of good ideas and the drive to realize them,” Brian Langham, partner and co-leader of Plante Moran’s technology consulting practice said. “However, these dynamic companies face tremendous competition, and sustaining growth requires a combination of tech savvy and strong business skills. This series with Automation Alley will help technology-focused organizations break through business and talent barriers to position themselves for success.”
Remaining Toast + Tech Talk sessions include:
• Session 2: Aug. 26, “Surefire Ways to Attract, Retain, and Motivate Talent”
• Session 3: Sept. 23, “Driving Growth and Delivering Value: Strategies to Maximize Your Firm’s Worth”
• Session 4: Oct. 28, “Growing from Entrepreneur to Strategic Business Leader”
Plante Moran’s Detroit office is located at 1098 Woodward Ave. on the 15th floor. The event is free and open to Automation Alley members and non-members.
