Automation Alley is seeking Michigan companies for its trade mission to Australia, March 24-31, 2017. This award-winning program consistently introduces small and medium-size businesses to new high-growth markets and opportunities to expand and diversify local product, service and technologies abroad. These missions are results-driven and have generated more than half a billion dollars in export sales for local companies.
Participants of this mission will travel to Sydney and Melbourne to attend matchmaking meetings with potential buyers, end users and key industry players.
The United States has one of its largest trade surpluses with Australia, the world’s 12th largest economy. In fact, U.S. exports of goods and services to Australia reached $42.975 billion in 2015. In addition, the Australia/U.S. Free Trade Agreement’s elimination of tariffs provides new market opportunities for U.S. companies. Overall, Australia’s market appeal remains convincing, with few barriers to entry, geographic proximity to emerging Asia, a familiar legal and corporate framework, sophisticated consumer and industrial sectors, and a straightforward, English-speaking business culture.
Participation is limited to 10 companies. The deadline to register is January 20, 2017. Cost to participate is $6,995 for members/$7,995 for non-members. Price includes airfare, hotels, matchmaking meetings, internal transportation, business briefings, and welcome reception/dinner, and tours.
Automation Alley will take care of all your planning and details before, during, and after the mission. Be sure to ask about the State Trade and Expansion Program (STEP) to see if your company qualifies for funding that can be applied toward the cost of the mission.
