Oakland County business owners, entrepreneurs, suppliers, contractors, and vendors, you’re invited to ‘Oakland is Open for Business,’ a FREE event that will help you explore the services the county offers to help your business grow and thrive. Did you know Oakland County spends $100 million annually on goods and services? Here’s your chance to learn how to bid on new business opportunities with the county, increase visibility for your business, and get an overview of the free business services and resources that we offer.
Join us at the Executive Office Building Conference Center in Waterford on Wednesday, August 9th from 2 – 4 pm and let Oakland County help you set your business up for continued success.
The workshop will feature presentations that show:
- How to register with the Michigan Inter-Governmental Trade Network (MITN)
- Oakland County’s Purchasing and Bid Process
- How to access powerful Business Counseling and Data
- Available Financing for Equipment and Expansion
- Talent Recruitment and Development
Attendees will learn about the many free services including business counseling offered through the county’s One Stop Shop Business Center, possible financing options, and connect with Oakland County Michigan Works! offices.
Representatives from Purchasing, Facilities Management, and the Community & Home Improvement Division will be available to answer questions. Tabletop displays will illustrate county programs and services, including a demonstration on how to register your business with Oakland Business Connect to increase your visibility statewide.
