On Dec 5, 2018, 2:00 PM, Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson will present checks totaling $34,500 from the Oakland County Casual Day Fund to Representatives from 20 charitable organizations at the Oakland County Executive Office Building Conference Center, West Conference Room, 2100 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford, Mich. 48328. Two of the organizations are first-time recipients. This annual event is a holiday favorite that highlights the generosity of Oakland County employees who donate a dollar to charity every Thursday and Friday to wear jeans or dress casually at work. Since its inception in 1993, Oakland County employees have donated about $900,000 dollars, touching the lives of thousands of people.
