MDEQ Updates Waste Management Professionals On PFAS Response
The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) this week updated air and waste management professionals on the state-wide effort to identify per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) contamination in Michigan and actions the MDEQ is taking to prevent unacceptable exposures to Michigan residents. Motor City Makeover is an annual citywide volunteer cleanup and beautification initiative. Cleanup efforts are scheduled by Council Districts on specific weekends in May. Individuals and groups MUST register with the City of Detroit Department of Neighborhoods to receive limited supplies and to schedule special pickups.
