MDEQ Brownfield Grant and Loan Awarded to Redevelop The Vicksburg Paper Mill
A vacant, contaminated paper mill in Vicksburg will be returned to productive use with help from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ). A $100,000 grant and a $1,250,000 loan were awarded to the Kalamazoo County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority to protect public health and safety and revitalize the historic mill property, located on West Highway Street.More


The Air Quality Division (AQD) has approved Carmeuse Lime & Stone’s permit for the ability to burn used oil on a permanent basis and biosolids on a temporary basis in their existing lime kilns, in River Rouge, Michigan with changes.
The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) and Great Lakes Commission today announced the availability of more than $21,000 in grants to support local efforts to clean up rivers, streams and creeks across the state.
