Third annual fair coincides with Shelby Farmers Market
MI Green Team, organizer of some of Michigan’s largest green/healthy-living events, presents the third annual Holistic Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, July 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the historic Packard Proving Grounds. Located at 49965 Van Dyke Ave. in Shelby Twp., the exhibits and programs will be offered indoors in the beautifully restored banquet hall. Food trucks, kids’ activities and the Shelby Farmers Market will be located outdoors.
The fair showcases dozens of products and services for a healthy body, mind, home, family and more. Many exhibitors will offer show specials, free samples and door prizes. Experts and educators will offer wellness checks, presentations and demonstrations. Eventgoers will enjoy live music, free massage, food and fun activities for all ages.
Longtime Shelby Farmers Market vendor Teri Ercolani founded the Holistic Health & Wellness Fair in 2015 in response to the self-care revolution. “Each of us holds the power to enhance the health of our body, mind and community through a natural wellness approach. I wanted to help educate the community about ways to improve quality of life through holistic health approaches in combination with conventional medicine.”
Although a new business endeavor prevents her from managing this year’s event, Ercolani says, “I’m excited to participate, and to see it continue to grow in size, scope and impact under MI Green Team’s guidance.”
General admission, parking and programs are free of charge. $10 VIP admission includes preferred entry (starting at 9:30 am) and parking, a sponsor goody bag, additional door prizes and more. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.
Event sponsors include Avita Bella Essentials, Beyond Better Hypnotherapy, Emagine Entertainment, Lolé Rochester, Packard Proving Grounds and Pehur Chiropractic. Media partners include Channel 955, 100.3 WNIC, 106.7 The D and GreeningDetroit.com.
