Newman Consulting Group (NCG) assists commercial, institutional and industrial building owners and facility managers save energy, reduce negative impacts on the environment and at the same time reduce litigation risk. Through energy audits and retrofitting existing buildings NCG helps building owners save money – by using less energy – while maintaining or improving the indoor air quality and enhancing the health, comfort and productivity of the building occupants.

For decades NCG has been working with architects, engineers, building owners and contractors in Michigan and throughout the world to design and build more energy-efficient buildings to LEED®, Energy Star® and other sustainable guidelines. 

Powers Distributing of Orion Township, Michigan, teamed up with Newman Consulting Group, Lean & Green Michigan, and Michigan Solar Solutions to complete Michigan’s first refinanced PACE project (Property Assessed Clean Energy). Here the group stands on the roof of the building where solar panels were installed as part of a95kW solar system to the roof of its recycling center.

 In addition, owner and managing director Jim Newman, the “Dean of Green,” and other members of NCG speak across Michigan, the U.S. and internationally in small and large group seminars and keynote presentations on many subjects relating to energy efficient and sustainable building design, construction and operation, as well as indoor air quality and proper operation and maintenance, to mention only a few.
