Patterson Spreads $34,500 Of Christmas Cheer Among 20 Charities

Proceeds will support programs for teens with severe medical conditions
DETROIT – Wish Upon A Teen is proud to host A Fighting Chance, a premier boxing fundraiser, at Bert’s Warehouse on April 29 at 7:00 p.m.
The semi-formal evening will feature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, raffles, music and six Vegas-style boxing matches, including a faceoff between celebrity boxers Dr. Darrius of WJLB radio and former WBO light middleweight champion Bronco McKart.
The funds raised from A Fighting Chance will provide resources and opportunities to teens with severe life-limiting medical conditions through Wish Upon A Teen programs, including its flagship program, Design My Room ®, as well as other signature programs such as Spa Day, An Evening of Dreams Prom and family outings.

James Henderson is a graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Education. He has been a teacher and served as a principal and superintendent at a public school academy in Lansing, Michigan. He worked for the state nonprofit association for public school academies as a quality schools facilitator working with school leaders and teachers.
James later went on to serve as the vice president of a nonprofit center in Detroit dedicated to supporting and developing quality public school academies in the city and quality outcomes for all students. James believes strongly in the mission of Arts & Scraps, and reimaging recycled materials to inspire people of all ages to think, create and learn.More
